Young Wrikis

Young Wrikis is my owl friend. He's a great owl. He's brown and he has really big eyes. His length is about an inch longer than the length of my hand. He likes to fly and find things to eat at night, like mice, lizards and squirrels. In the daytime hes really lazy and that's when I try to feed him all sort's of things.
I feed Wrikis crackers (Funny, that's for parrots!) and I'm allowed to give him meat, but I'm not allowed to have meat myself! I don't get it! He'll eat pretty much whatever you give him.
I'm not sure how old Wrikis is because we just made friends with him. He's not even really our owl. He came to our house and just sat at outside our back door and waited. When we opened the door, he flew in! Soon we got used to him coming in and out of our doors. Crazy, but we did get used to it. He started to sleep out in my cottage in the day. He takes naps on my extra bed. That's when we started to feed him and let him out at night and whenever he wanted or needed to. Wrikis likes to be petted and snuggled. He soon became part of the family. Movies  made him go crazy! It is way to bright for him. So we didn't do that. He also makes lots of owl noises like hooting and a few other sounds that I don't know how to explain. I was going to take a picture, but our camera is broken. Sorry, I'll get a picture though.
So that's Wrikis. He's pretty cool. I like him. He makes me smile : )
