Homemade Honey Shampoo

So this summer I've been reading about DIY shampoos that are healthier for your hair and don't strip it of the natural oils your scalp produces. I've been using an apple cider vinegar and baking soda shampoo that my hair has just started to get used to, but lately I've been hearing that it is still stripping your hair, so I read up on this DIY honey shampoo and am trying it. It is simply raw honey and water. You want to get raw honey because a lot of the honey at stores aren't real honey or not completely honey, and that doesn't work as well on your hair.
Start out with a ratio of:
                                            1 Tps. raw honey
                                            3 Tps. warm water

You mix the honey and warm water (you never use boiling water) together until the honey is all melted. The consistency is not supposed to be like the normal shampoos, it's watery and doesn't suds up when you scrub. But the nice thing is when you get some in your mouth, its okay! It tastes sweet and delicious and isn't going to kill you! You might even just do it for fun. Honey is also very good for your skin.
Using a small squirt bottle or something with a small opening is best so you can get it all over your scalp before you run out. scrub well. And then you'll eventually rinse it all out.

You do have to go through a transitional period. During the transition you have oily hair (Because your hair has to get used to producing a normal amount oil and not being stripped daily of it) and it could last days, weeks, a few months. Everybody is different, so you can't know what your specific hair will do and how long it will take.

Here's my hair so far (day 4). By the way this is clean and it's not wet from a shower. It's very soft and extra curly and my scalp is also extra oily.

I'll keep posting so that it is known to you what happens and how it all works out!
